I am writing to share my experience in hopes that it might save someone else grief and to ask for advice.
I have used the newcrop/surescripts screen for prescribing since I started w/ AC two years ago. I have not imported the meds into the AC chart because it was such a pain. This system has worked well for me until last weekend when without warning my newcrop/surescripts interface was terminated without warning by AC on my renewal date 3/29 and would not renew it. This means I can't prescribe electronically but much more importantly, I have no access to my patient's med lists. Obviously this is a HUGE problem. (There are some other details relating to my trying to trial version 5 on an isolated machine which I think are not central to my problem so I will skip them for now.) So I was told I needed to move to version 5 pronto so this I did, right in the middle of the work week, but I still can't get to my patient's med lists. Tech support is working on this but not with the urgency that I would like. They never answer the phone and have let the ball drop as far as I can tell for periods of time. For example, this morning Joe isn't in until 1, doesn't answer his email so I am just left hanging seeing patients w/o med lists.
So...
1)be warned they may shut off your V4 interface w/o warning
2)is there some way to get IT to be more responsive to what I consider to be a severely disruptive problem
