Just a note to thank all of you for the above discussions and suggestions. I am new to AC (6 weeks) and still have less than 1 GB in my total backup file with all the imports. Before now I did not understand the problem with imported data for the AC offsite backup, so when it took 2 hrs a couple days ago to send it to AC, I thought it was a "bug". Now I know it is a systemic issue, and I can now plan on how to work around it.
Since new users of AC offsite backup may have similar issues, a heads up to them from AC may be useful.
