Hi all -

I updated to V4 recently - with partial success. I report here the problem and a workaround. Apologies if this is already on the user board - could not find it.

Office setup:
"main" computer is a desktop with Vista 32 bit system - install and migration from V3 went fine, with help of AC staff member.
Install on secondary front desk desktop (Vista 32 also) went fine.

BUT: my working computer is a laptop with Vista 64 bit Ultimate (don't get me started on woes with 64 bit...). V3 installed fine on this machine, but I do recall having to download special programs and install manually to get it to work - still, did it myself without much problem. HOWEVER, V4 apparently is not working with Vista 64 bit - and I did not see this anywhere in the install info, or on this User Board (but shame on me for not asking specifically). AC Service says they are working on this, and expect a fix soon (but that was 3 weeks ago).

SO: I was left with V4 on the front desk machines, but unusable V3 on the laptop I use for visits (since the data had been migrated).

WORKAROUND:
From my laptop, I use Remote Desktop Connection to connect with the desktop, exactly like I do from home. It's a bit slower, but not much (but I do have occasional pauses and dropped signals). It'll do till AC gets a Vista64 solution up and running.

Hope this helps someone.
