Hello all,

Is anyone using a program which works easily with AC to do appointment reminders?
Since Updox is in the schedule already in real time wouldn't it be nice if they could do appointment calls/ reminders? Is anyone using updox to this capacity?
I'm very interested in finding something cost effective and easy to use to remind and document the patient's notification.

Also is anyone using text to notify thier patients to call the clinic? We sit next to a university and think it would be more effective than leaving a voicemail... of course nothing HIPAA sensitive in a text....
Thanks, Bonnie

AC is announcing a new service in the reminders arena.

Updox also is offering a reminders service, but haven't implemented it or heard about it from others yet.

There are also folks like Talksoft. (http://www.talksoftonline.com/)

Some of it will depend on where you schedule (Updox, AC, or PM) and what level of integration that you want.

IIRC, JBS has an in-house system he bought, but he can probably add in his experiences.

Full disclosure, we have business relationships with all of those folks, and we also do integration, but the facts remain the same, that your choices depend on what you have and how you want it to work.

We use Clienttell. We create a file with AC Export function, upload it to Clinttell. They make all the calls, post the reports and keep documentation. Their charges are reasonable. They offer test reminders also.

We use the email reminder service in Updox. Works well enough. Have a few wish list changes I would like to see in the service, but overall it is fine for our needs.
