Have had no issues with imported items until today when suddenly I can no longer open an imported PDF file with the message, "File does not begin with '%PDF-' This is not unique to one workstation but all workstations. Any suggestions would be welcome

Did you recently (unknowingly?) upgrade Adobe? Perhaps roll it back....

No, not that I remember Jon. I checked more files. Apparently, some files can be opened but not all. Some files I was previously able to open, can no longer be opened.

Jon, I just discovered that my computers have been infected by an encrypting virus and so far, it has affected AC by encrypting my PDF attached files. I am not able to open some, not all.

Is it the Cryptovirus. If so, you should have seen a big screen telling you this. Hopefully, it is as you can simply pay the ransome and get the key. Of course, the ransome keeps going up.

Oh no! I didn't think that was still going around, big back in 2013.
