Does anyone know if we will have the option of using icd10 sets starting in January. I would like to start using them before we have to jump off the cliff.

Does anyone know how AC is getting ready for ICD10 and what we will need to do on our (end-user) side?

I also would like to start using this now to become more familiar with it rather than 'jumping off the cliff' on January 1st.

You can NOT use ICD10 before October 2013. Any claims sent out with ICD10 will reject immediately. To my knowledge, AC has not announced plans to support ICD10 yet. However, they surely will sometime in 2012.

I think it is the new HIPPA 5010 form for billing thaqt starts on Jan 1. One of the reasons listed for the new standard is to allow use of ICD10. But the ICD10 implementation is in the future. But on Jan 1 the new billing standard does start.
I am assuming the PM version 7 will be compliant with the new standard.

Amazing Charts is working on moving to ICD 10s. We will be adding them in time for the deadline. You are right that ICD 10 codes will be added during the PM integration in version 7. In the meantime you should speak with your billing company regarding 5010 compliance. If you find we are not exporting something they need please let me know at Claire@amazingcharts.com.
