Working via VPN would solve this problem, wouldn't it? Just get an El Cheapo computer to correspond to your tablet, and use LogMeIn free to access it. If your tablet exploded in your hands, all the data would be on the PC in the other room.
Ctrl-S is a little quicker way to save than forwarding it, but it is buggy -- social history doesn't save -- I have emailed Jon about it.
